Djembe Ensemble
The OCC African Percussion
Ensemble has been a part of the OCC music experience since 2001. The
group plays on an Ewe set of drums from Ghana as well as djembes, gyils,
and most recently riqs. We have studied
"Gahu" with David Etse Nyadedzor.
We learned “Kpanlogo” and "Gota" with Bernard
Woma. And, in the spring of 2008 we also had the privilege of working
with Valerie Naranjo. We continue to do
some impromptu stuff with djembes as well! For more information stop by
