Welcome to the OCC Geology Club Home Page

Welcome to the OCC Geology Club Home Page!  The primary purpose of OCC's Geology Club is to promote geological inquiry outside the formal classroom.  By means of field trips, career days, attendance at professional geologist meetings, and informal presentations club members become more aware of all aspects of geology.  The club also sponsors internships, job shadowing, and study groups.  A secondary purpose of the club is to increase intellectual interchange and social interaction between students and faculty on an informal basis.  During the March Spring Break our Club sponsors a Geology/Oceanography field trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
